A friend sent me something I had written thirty years ago about listening. It was a piece for a 30 second radio slot I shared with some other local pastors. And, it was all about listening.
I don't know if anything else in this world is much more important. Listening is at the heart of compassion for starters. Listening defines the quality of love. Listening is more than fifty percent of communicating.
So, what about websites? A good website, it seems to me, anticipates my wishes, needs, questions and thoughts, enabling me to quickly find what I am looking for. And, looking for stuff is what we go to the internet for.
There are lots of important questions to ask as you ponder the design of your website.
"Are you listening to your audience?" may be the most important.
