A website is like a tree: roots, trunk, branches and leaves. The images you place on your site are the trunk, and you want this part of your site to be solid, sharp and bold.
Grab some great graphics which catch the eye, and draw the attention up to the content of your website. Make sure you have some bright colors, interesting textures and visual movement. This is all part of the “Just One Look!” dynamic.
Use a web-source for your images, or, better yet, take your own. Make sure they are high resolution, and properly formatted and sized.
I happen to be a sucker for trees. This one looks kinda like an octopus…and kinda makes me want to climb it. And...that’s the point.
